I agree. In my opinion, taking personal responsibility for your actions is essential for someone in a leadership role. Not only does it show your employees that you know right from wrong by taking responsibility for your mistakes, it also shows inner strength and resilience.
There can be a fine line there however, as not sharing some of the victory with your employees also shows you as selfish and cocky. Taking personal responsibility can also show that you are invested in the results you are striving for.
