1) Read. Read voraciously in your industry (books, mags, blogs, etc.) but question everything.
2) Blog. There's no better tool to establish credibility, engage people, and increase your search visibility than a business blog.
3) Speak. You never truly learn a subject until you can teach it to someone else. Presenting on a topic forces you to do just that.
