The Know How You Need & the Tools to Get You There... Get Certified >

As soon as Uncle Billy passed away, Aunt Marilyn got Alzheimer disease. She does not remember us. I decided to tell every family member of mine that I love them, every time we speak.
At first it was a little awkward. That's not something we've traditionally said to each other. But after awhile I think everybody's gotten use to it with me.
And I get the sense that they anticipate it from me. Most are even saying it back, even my 80 year old father who does not express feelings at all.
I say it without any expectation of return. It feels good, it's opening doors with each other and it is so simple.
"I love you nephew of mine."
"I love you mom"
"Sis, you're the best, I love you."
Those words soften so many hiccups and rough spots we've had with each other. Try it - it has certainly worked for me!
