When times are tough and stress is high I find it most helpful to start or change an exercise program in include fresh air.
The gym is great, group sports are fun, but w
hen you need to work on 'you' then go it alone. I say get a new pair of tennis shoes and grab some water and hit the road.
If you are a runner you might want to run, but honestly I think power walking is the best of both worlds.
You get the fresh air in your lungs, you travel a little slower than when running and so can enjoy the views and think more clearly.
Lastly, unless safety is an issue I think this is best done alone so you can truly relax and regroup.
