It's impossible to have a cranky Christmas when you:
1. SIMPLIFY - don't put too much pressure on yourself to get everything "perfect". sometimes simpler is better - with gifts, parties, decorating, etc.
2. RELAX - remember it's about being with people you love, not about how much you can get done in a fixed period of time. Whatever doesn't get done, doesn't get done. So What!?! No one will love you less!
3. ENJOY - savor the simple pleasures of sitting in front of your tree in the soft colorful lights. Spend time with friends, family or alone being in joy and remembering that this season is about the birth of the Christ Child in YOU.
Celebrate remembering your divinity and the beautiful way we were all given an example in the person of Jesus and His Holy Family - Mary and Joseph - to be truly born into this knowledge of our own power.
Traditions can sometimes make you feel stressed out in having to continue what perhaps your parents started or what society expects of us. But I declare its time to start new traditions.
Get out there and give of yourself to those who need help. Volunteer your time and your service. It will bring you right back to the reason for the season.
Merry Christmas All!!
Love and Blessings,
Rita
