The Know How You Need & the Tools to Get You There... Get Certified >

One of the things that helps me get on my home cardio equipment is to record shows I want to watch but will usually not take the time to watch.
I've even bought some of the TV series program DVDs at Costco and Target. I make a deal with myself that I'll only watch the show when I'm on the treadmill.
It's a guilty pleasure and helps me get my butt on the machine. As you say, once I get started ( with the enticement of the recorded TV show or DVD) I begin to enjoy the movement and I stay on for a longer time.
It's exactly what you said about getting on their for ten minutes... once on, I end up staying.
Sometimes I don't need these enticements and I naturally want to get to my workout. But it's nice to have these enticements when motivation is low.
