Defining Success

I believe it comes down to one's definition of "success".

We all know folks who are tremendously successful in business, but their lives as a whole are saturated with insignificance.

If one's primary purpose for having a rewarding life beyond work is to attain greater success at work, then as John pointed out, it truly is the tail wagging the dog.

Insightful statement

My thoughts are that Mr. Turnbow hit the nail on the head, as what could be construed as success from one person's perspective (professional or otherwise) could be considered "junk" in another's. At the end of the day, it really does come down to what someone considers true "success" to be.
